YOU DON’T NECESSARILY GET WHAT YOU WANT, YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE "DESTINY"
This quote, let me just say, has put me in tight corners on different occasions. From the stumbling challenges, the nightmares, to the present moment. And after several attempts at studying the statement, digesting the content, I got an answer to it. That's where Kadar slides in. Everything's been written down by the Almighty. Don't force things to happen.
The number of Houses, cars, your to-be worth/properties lies in the hand of Almighty. And to clear your doubt, what you'll become, what you'll eat has all been processed. This took me down the memory lane of a young Man. Lágbájá is a promising young man. Academically, he's great. A great hustler too. Nobody cross line with him, and win. It will be a draw draw, or you lose. This kept happening for years, he maintained the rare position throughout his early education, and the tertiary level.
Once a competition is knocking, all other competitors will put head together, and ask themselves; is Lágbájá participating? if yes, there's Wahala.. let's look for a way to take him off that position. They devised all means to get him off, brainstormed like tomorrow never exist.....but all to no avail! He's unstoppable. A rock! To bá larí mo, orí e á fó. He finished as the best graduating student, get some token for his brilliancy. Lol.
Paid all his rites, left the school. Served. Then, reality sets in. He pushed his mindset into believing that he has a very golden opportunity to chose whatever path he desires. Relaxed, waiting for God's mercy. Lo, and behold, now, Lágbájá is a renowned Keke Rider. You see life doesn't work the way we fashioned it to be. I guess that was just his path to shine. He's fulfilled that. Life's in different sectors.
What you deserve is what you get. You can never outshine God. He's the all-knowing and all-hearing. Just as He has said; "He will never burden a Soul more than he can bear". What if what you want will get you killed? What if what you want doesn't want you? What if what you want will make your life miserable and unbearable for you?! There's so many ifs to it.
In a nutshell, wherever you find yourself, appreciate Allah. He’s the best disposer of affairs. He knows the best for each and everyone. Yes, I know, you are not the one getting the scholarship deals? while your friend is busy getting deal from 5-6 prestigious institutions. That scholarship could end your life. Or, you are worried about how your colleagues are busy raking money, while you are still at that solid point. Yes, I see how hard you are working, but nothing to show for it. Calm down, your time frame is different from his. Don’t compare.
Or, you’ve had several failed relationships, and think you are not getting it right. You are. You just haven’t met the right person at the right time. That breakfast, e get why. Sit back, relax, and wait on God’s time. What will be will be. Enjoy life as it comes. If you truly deserve that thing, you’ll get it. The person fit kill you self; a toxic on. See it as blessing in disguise. Wait on what’s coming. And you shall smile, and say Yes, this is it! Ayò n bo.
You’d have the happily ever after you’ve always dreamed of and it’ll be exactly as you’ve imagined — You might be wondering, “what if it’s not exactly as I’ve imagined?” Well, all that matters is that you’d get your happily ever after in whatever shape or form it comes as long as you keep an open mind, and you believe. Relax, boy, girl.
Yes, some passion/stuffs are worth chasing, but if it's clear you are not getting it anytime soon.. Don't spend your whole life dwelling on impossibilities; as widely claimed that Einstein said, which hasn't been fully confirmed, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” The question I have for you at this point of our journey together is, “What is your genius?”. Find passion in another thing. Move on. Explore, live, and be simple. There are billions other ways. Who can tell? Abeg.
And in all you do, choose being a smart individual, over being an hard-worker. Be prayerful, be on lookout, and let luck do its thing. Luck is really berated.. And LIFE is LUCK! Uhn? Yes! Don’t doubt it.
And one thing that’s eaten too deep is JEALOUSY. Jealousy has ruined a lot of beautiful thing. I don’t see someone as being better than me, that person just seems to have a better idea/knowledge on that aspect than I do. There’s aspect I’ll wipe his/her ass down too. Don’t envy! We can’t share the same area of interest. You see, life’s just too simple, People just haven’t mastered the art. No stress..
Kadar is inevitable. You can’t run pass it. Do you believe in the statement, DESTINY CAN NEVER BE CHANGED, BUT IT CAN BE MADE? Reflect on that, and whatever answer you get, make it count. No pressure yourself. Nobody has it all. I don’t let life issues weigh me down. He’s my strength, and whenever I look at his words, it brings me comfort. He promised ease.
Unburden yourself of all the pain, hurt, anger and disappointments you’ve been holding on to and watch your life turn around positively. Let Allah take charge. You can’t change your life, but you can pray for a changed one. And He will hear. He’s the best of ears.
Don’t let life weigh you down. You are getting there. Calm down, if it’s meant for you, you’ll get it. And if otherwise, don’t stress it. You go dey alright. You shall laugh. Que sera sera. And, let love lead.
